The Administration for Children and Families, Children's Bureau, announces the availability of competitive grant funds authorized by the Promoting Safe and Stable Families program. These targeted grants will be awarded to regional partnerships that provide, through interagency collaboration and integration of programs and services, activities and services that are designed to increase the well-being of, improve permanency outcomes for, and enhance the safety of children who are in out-of-home placements or are at risk of being placed in out-of-home placements as a result of a parent's or caretaker's substance abuse.

The grant opportunity is open to state higher-education executive offices; state systems of higher education representing two- and four-year institutions, four-year institutions, or community colleges; and partnerships of two- and/or four-year institutions with a designated lead public postsecondary institution or nonprofit organization as grant manager.
The partnership expects to collectively award eight to ten two-year grants ranging in amount between $200,000 and $600,000,based on the number of feeder community college/university partnerships needed to scale the project at the state level.
